  2. I think a good way we all agreed upon representing the idea of whats going on in Egypt, is showing linkage and support through each puppet. Through the artistry and design of each puppet's clothing, we feel that it would be powerful to represent all different types and beliefs of individuals. Through this, we can show a direct example of everyone in Egypt coming together and standing up for each other.

  4. I had a thought about how we might be able to perform a representation of this idea.

start with two characters fighting...one darker and male one lighter and female.

the male character is larger and is dominating over and restraining the female character.

a few other characters enter- (these characters all look alike and are smaller then both the male and female character...the mass characters each have a different color (clothing or skin?)

say three mass characters enter and they wrestle the female figure away from the male.

as this goes on more an more mass characters enter the stage each new mass character is a different color.

they free the female and escort her to the other side of the stage.

more and more mass characters enter stage forming a barrier between the female and male characters.

as more mass characters surround her she stands up and gets taller and taller as more enter the stage, until she towers over the male figure.

so many mass characters enter the stage that the male figured is pushed off.

    ----
male figure-the oppressive government, law, and such

female figure- Egypt, freedom, hope, new, change

Mass characters of varying color- the citizens, differing: beliefs, class, age, religion, ideals, military rank etc

perhaps the style of clothing could be different to represent some of the differences.....thoughts?
